The Future

An exterior image of the USS Phoenix

The USS Phoenix was designed and built at the Sigma Shipyards in 2371 as a supplement to the current battle fleets. Instead of focusing on scientific or exploration when designing this ship, it was overpowered and loaded with weapons, making it the first full-time battleship. In addition to standard phasers and torpedos, the Phoenix is equipped with advanced pulsating phasers and a prototype rapid-fire turret.

The USS Phoenix is also equipped with a prototype cloaking device. While engaged, this cloaking device renders the Phoenix virtually invisible to sensors and the naked eye.

The Phoenix's engines have been overpowered, allowing it to travel at incredible speeds, considering its size. It is very common for prototype technology to be tested on the Phoenix, which has proven to be a successful test platform multiple times in the past.

Since its creation, the Phoenix has played a key part in many confrontations. The USS Phoenix currently serves as a strike vessel to quickly resolve foreign skirmishes.
